HALF MOON BAY — A convicted felon was arrested final weekend in Half Moon Bay on suspicion of illegally possessing weapons, fireworks and gun components, authorities stated.
Deputies had been initially dispatched to the 400 block of Wavecrest Street on March 29 for a welfare test and a toddler protecting providers case, based on the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Workplace.
Two days later, deputies obtained and served search warrants at a number of areas related to the convicted felon, recognized as a 41-year-old Half Moon Bay man.
Deputies recovered three assault rifles, tons of of rounds of ammunition, gun components and equipment, fireworks and an unlawful ballistic vest, the sheriff’s workplace stated.
The person was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on costs of felon in possession of firearms, possession of assault weapons, felon in possession of ammunition, felon in possession of a ballistic vest, possession of a firearm and not using a serial quantity and possession of fireworks and not using a allow, based on the sheriff’s workplace.
