Gilroy man dies after crashing pickup truck into tree

GILROY — A 28-year-old man was killed in a crash Thursday evening in Gilroy, in keeping with authorities.

The motive force and sole occupant of the pickup truck — recognized solely as a Gilroy resident — was killed within the crash, in keeping with the CHP. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Workplace will launch his id after it’s confirmed and his subsequent of kin is notified.

As of Friday, the CHP didn’t know whether or not alcohol or medicine performed a job within the incident.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased,” CHP Capt. Noel Coady mentioned in a press release. “As we continue to investigate the cause of the crash, this tragedy serves as a reminder for all of us to comply with traffic laws and take a safety-first approach to driving. Lives depend on it.”
