Bihar Polls 2025: A confrontation between Samajwadi Occasion Chief Akhilesh Yadav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intensified in poll-bound Bihar on Monday after the latter focused the opposition’s three leaders– Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Akhilesh Yadav– by calling them ‘Pappu’, ‘Tappu’, and ‘Akku’.
The SP chief, whereas campaigning for Mahagathbandhan in Bihar’s Siwan, responded to the BJP chief’s remarks and dubbed them as “Gappu” and “Chappu.”
He stated that the BJP’s marketing campaign rhetoric is “nervous bluster” and claimed that the saffron camp-led NDA is attempting to “mortgage Bihar.”
“The BJP has big ‘Gappu’ and their ‘Chappu’… We need to save Bihar from ‘Gappu’ and ‘Chappu’,” he added.
His remarks got here hours after Yogi Adityanath lampooned the three opposition leaders as “three monkeys of INDI Alliance”.
Addressing an election rally in Keoti meeting phase of Darbhanga district, the senior BJP chief stated the “three new monkeys” had been unable to see, unwilling to listen to and incapable of talking about all the great work that was being carried out by the ruling NDA.
“Mahatma Gandhi’s three monkeys saw, heard and spoke no evil. But now, we have three monkeys of the INDI Alliance. The new monkeys are Pappu, who sees no good work done by NDA, Tappu, who cannot hear about it, and Akku, who will not admit to these while speaking,” stated the firebrand chief.
He additionally alleged that the Congress, RJD and SP had been embracing criminals in Bihar, permitting infiltrators to compromise with the state’s safety.
These are the individuals who divide folks within the title of caste and perpetuate riots, Adityanath alleged.
“Let us resolve that we shall neither be divided nor fight with each other (na batenge, na katenge),” he added.
The 243-member Bihar meeting will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with outcomes set to be introduced on November 14.
