Fumes in cockpit forces Hawaiian-bound flight to return to Seattle

Fumes within the cockpit of a Hawaiian-bound flight pressured the plane to return to the Seattle airport shortly after taking off Monday afternoon. 

An airline spokesperson informed FOX Enterprise that Hawaiian Airways flight HA21 returned to Seattle-Tacoma Worldwide Airport after departure resulting from fumes within the cabin. It was heading to Daniel Ok. Inouye Worldwide Airport in Honolulu.

The captain declared an emergency to acquire precedence dealing with and the Airbus 330 landed at SEA with out incident, the airline mentioned. 

Medical and fireplace personnel met the plane on the gate and all 273 passengers and 10 crewmembers deplaned safely.

As soon as the plane was cleared, the Port of Seattle Fireplace Division boarded to analyze and didn’t discover any smoke or odor, airport spokesperson Perry Cooper informed The Related Press. 

Flight 21 left Seattle on Tuesday morning in a brand new plane.
