Former Monte Vista Excessive and Cal tight finish Jack Endries is transferring to Texas, in keeping with experiences from ESPN’s Pete Thamel and others.
Endries graduated from Monte Vista in 2022 after a stellar prep profession that included a first-team All-Bay Space Information Group honor for the 2021 season. He then walked on at Cal regardless of holding double-digit scholarship presents and was the Bears’ main receiver in 2024.
Endries took a go to to Texas’ campus and made his dedication on Friday. He will likely be a redshirt junior this fall.
In 2023, Endries was a freshman All-American after catching 35 passes for 408 yards. In 2024, he was an all-ACC honorable point out, snagging 56 balls and gaining 623 yards by way of the air.
Endries will now be a part of coach Steve Sarkisian’s dynamic offense with the Longhorns, leaving Cal followers with a wistful sense of what may have been. The Bears have misplaced 5 of their prime seven receivers to the switch portal along with Endries.
