Former DNC Chair Jaime Harrison is leaping on the Substack pattern, however he appears to have missed the nice print.

Final week, Harrison’s Substack confirmed that he had 1,000,000 subscribers, however most of Harrison’s posts have lower than a dozen likes. After POLITICO began asking questions, the variety of subscribers grew to become non-public. A Harrison spokesperson declined to touch upon why the subscription quantity is not public.

One other Democratic marketing consultant, granted anonymity due to worry of enterprise penalties, stated leaders of many progressive organizations and different influential Democrats now have Substacks that he joked they view as their “retirement plan.”

“It’s so dumb because obviously there’s not enough people on Substack to pay $5 a month for all these people, and they all use tons of organizational resources to pump up their own Substacks, which is so corrupt and such a misallocation of resources,” the marketing consultant stated.
