EMERYVILLE — A suspect was arrested in reference to a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian in crucial situation Wednesday afternoon in Emeryville, in response to authorities.
The sufferer was taken to an space hospital, the place she remained in crucial situation Thursday.
Officers used license plate reader cameras to trace down the suspect’s car and an image of the motive force, police mentioned. The car was later discovered unoccupied in Oakland.
Officers saved the car beneath surveillance and took the suspect into custody when he returned to it round 7 a.m. Thursday. He was recognized as a 40-year-old Oakland man.
After the suspect was recognized in video surveillance footage and interviewed by detectives, he was booked into the Santa Rita Jail on a hit-and-run cost, police mentioned.
The suspect is about to be arraigned Monday on the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse, in response to jail data.
