OAKLAND – An East Oakland warehouse erupted in flames Tuesday evening, a fireplace official mentioned.
The blaze was first reported round 9:30 p.m. at a single-story construction on Russett Drive close to Moorpark Road, in accordance with Oakland Hearth Division spokesperson Michael Hunt.
Crews arrived to seek out the warehouse in flames and “went defensive,” which means they didn’t enter the constructing because of security dangers and potential construction collapse, Hunt mentioned.
The hearth was contained as of 10:30 p.m., Hunt mentioned. About 35 firefighters remained on the scene late Tuesday.
No accidents had been reported and the hearth didn’t prolong to another buildings, Hunt mentioned.
