SAN RAMON – The pinnacle of the San Ramon Valley Unified Faculty District is talking out after a pupil allegedly attacked an assistant principal at a homecoming dance over the weekend.

The incident occurred Saturday evening at California Excessive Faculty, positioned at 9870 Broadmoor Drive in San Ramon, in keeping with Superintendent CJ Cammack. In a letter to district workers and households, Cammack mentioned the assistant principal approached two college students within the parking zone and was bodily assaulted by one in all them.

Cammack mentioned the scholars don’t attend Cal Excessive, however are enrolled at one other faculty within the district.

“We want to be clear that, in no uncertain terms, this conduct will not be tolerated at Cal High or at any school in SRVUSD,” the superintendent mentioned within the letter. “We care deeply about the safety and well-being of our students, as well as all of our staff.”

The incident, Cammack added, is “not a reflection of the outstanding character and conduct of our student population at Cal High or in SRVUSD as a whole.”

“As we shared directly with the Cal High community, we all have a collective responsibility to care for one another and ensure that each and every site in SRVUSD is a place where all members of our community are safe, both physically and emotionally,” Cammack mentioned.
