Driver killed in multi-vehicle crash close to Morgan Hill

MORGAN HILL — A 35-year-old Morgan Hill man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon close to Morgan Hill, in line with the California Freeway Patrol.

The crash occurred simply earlier than 2 p.m. at Reside Oak Avenue and Monterey Street, the CHP mentioned.

The person was driving southbound on Monterey Street in a 2018 Honda and ran a pink mild on the intersection, in line with the CHP. On the similar time, a 2017 Freightliner was making a left flip onto Monterey Street from eastbound Reside Oak Avenue.

The autos collided. The CHP mentioned the impression triggered the Honda to veer into the northbound path of Monterey Street, the place it crashed right into a 1993 Jeep ready to show left onto Reside Oak Avenue. Particles from that crash hit a 2016 Ford behind the Jeep.

The drivers of the Jeep and the Honda had been taken to space hospitals, the place the latter died of his accidents. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Workplace will launch the person’s identification after it’s confirmed and his subsequent of kin is notified.
