Driver killed in high-speed crash close to San Mateo-Hayward Bridge toll plaza

HAYWARD – A rushing driver was killed in a crash Tuesday morning close to the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge toll plaza, in accordance with authorities.

A Toyota RAV4 was touring eastbound on State Route 92 at a “high rate of speed” when it entered the California Division of Transportation parking zone subsequent to the toll plaza and crashed into a number of parked autos, in accordance with the CHP.

The motive force suffered deadly accidents, the CHP mentioned. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will launch the particular person’s identification as soon as it’s confirmed and their subsequent of kin is notified.

Eastbound lanes of State Route 92 had been closed following the crash and didn’t reopen till 10:20 a.m., in accordance with the CHP. The reason for the collision is underneath investigation.
