Crews halt fast-moving wildfire close to Livermore, Tracy

LIVERMORE — Crews had principally contained a 260-acre wildfire that unfold quick Thursday close to Livermore, Tracy and the junction of Interstate 580 and Interstate 205, signaling the arrival of wildfire season within the Bay Space.

As of seven:30 p.m., the Halfway Fireplace was 75% contained, mentioned Chelsea Burkett, a spokesperson for Cal Fireplace’s Santa Clara unit. The blaze didn’t harm any constructions.

“We’re in our mop-up phase right now,” she mentioned.
