Crash kills one, injures two after Freeway Patrol chase in Pittsburg

PITTSBURG – Amid a police pursuit early Sunday morning, a suspect crashed right into a automotive, killing one and leaving two injured, in line with a press launch from California Freeway Patrol.

Round 12:41 a.m., on March 23, CHP officers noticed a suspect in a stolen grey Infiniti sedan armed with a stolen handgun dashing over 100 miles per hour on State Route 4.

The officers caught up with the automobile because it exited onto Railroad Ave in Pittsburg. When the officers tried a visitors cease, the automobile fled, and the officers pursued the automobile for a couple of minute. The suspect crashed with a automobile uninvolved with the chase, killing one and injuring each the suspect and the driving force of the opposite automobile, who had been transported by paramedics to an area hospital. The stolen weapon was discovered on the scene.

The suspect is underneath prison investigation by the Pittsburg Police Division, and the incident is being investigated by the Contra Costa County District Legal professional’s Workplace, in line with CHP officers.
