Coroner identifies South Bay man killed after automobile went down embankment on Freeway 85

A 65-year-old Los Gatos man has been recognized by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Workplace after he died when his car went down an embankment and crashed final week.

Joseph Morse’s Lexus was on the transition ramp the place state Freeway 85 meets state Freeway 17 in Los Gatos when it ended up down an embankment and onto Oka Highway on Jan. 8.

California Freeway Patrol officers arrived round 7 p.m. to seek out the wrecked Lexus.

Primarily based on a preliminary investigation, the CHP mentioned Morse was traversing the transition ramp from northbound Freeway 85 to southbound Freeway 17 when the car someway left the roadway, went down a descending embankment, and stopped close to the transition ramp on Oka Highway.

Morse was ejected from the car as a consequence of being unrestrained and died quickly afterward, in line with the CHP.
