CHP officer fires shot throughout Freeway 1 chase of reckless driver

A person was arrested Saturday night after a police pursuit on Freeway 1 in San Mateo County that included an officer firing a single shot, authorities stated Sunday.

The California Freeway Patrol stated officers responded at round 5 p.m. to stories of a black Acura driving recklessly on Freeway 1 close to Freeway 84.

Officers tried to cease the motive force after the Acura was noticed on Freeway 1 close to Verde Highway, however the driver stored going, authorities stated. CHP officers pursued the car northbound and coordinated with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Workplace.

The pursuit ended when officers have been capable of cease the Acura driver close to Triple D Ranch, the CHP stated.

An officer discharged one shot whereas responding to the incident, however there have been no accidents.

The person driving the Acura was taken into custody with out additional incident, authorities stated.

Visitors on Freeway 1 was closed between Lobitos Creek and Tunitas Creek in coastal San Mateo County on Saturday evening whereas authorities investigated, in keeping with the CHP.
