Boil water advisory issued for tons of of consumers after predominant break in Leesburg

LEESBURG, Fla. – A boil water advisory was issued on Thursday after a water predominant break in Leesburg, based on the Florida Governmental Utility Authority.

In a launch, FGUA officers mentioned the 4-inch predominant break occurred at 11937 Layton Road.

Now, the advisory is in impact for the Western Shores System, which impacts almost 500 clients.

“Service was interrupted this evening to begin repairs,” the discharge reads. “There is currently no estimated time for service restoration.”

Whereas the advisory is in impact, FGUA officers urge clients to convey any water used for cooking or ingesting to a “rolling boil” for one minute to take away any potential viruses.

As well as, bottled water can be utilized as a alternative.

“The advisory will be lifted once repairs are complete, and water samples taken to an independent, Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory indicates that the water is safe to drink, typically in two to three days,” the discharge continues.

Prospects with questions in regards to the outage and advisory are requested to name FGUA Pasco Buyer Service Officer at (877) 657-8889.
