BMW is recalling greater than 145,000 autos within the U.S. over a starter defect that might overheat and spark a hearth, the Nationwide Freeway Site visitors Security Administration (NHTSA) introduced. 

The most recent recall comes simply days after practically 200,000 vehicles have been recalled for the same situation.

“If this occurs, occupants may see or smell smoke while driving or when leaving their vehicle,” the recall report added.

The auto security regulator stated the discover impacts sure 2019-2025 autos throughout six fashions.

“BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2020 340I, X6, 2020-2025 840I, 2020-2022 740LI, 2019-2020 X7, and X5 vehicles,” the NHTSA stated.

BMW sellers will change the engine starter with a unique design freed from cost, NHTSA stated.
