West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday accused the BJP of dividing folks and requested the Centre to maintain India and safe’s borders within the wake of the Pahalgam terror assault.

Banerjee, who arrived in Murshidabad for the primary time since final month’s riots there, urged the federal government to offer justice to the individuals who have misplaced their family members in Pahalgam.

She additionally accused the BJP of taking part in “dirty politics” over the Murshidabad violence by which three folks have been killed throughout protests over the Waqf (Modification) Act.

“Instead of doing communal violence, please take care of the border. Please take care of India. We love India, please save India from any disaster. Please give justice to the people who have lost their loved ones. Don’t play dirty politics; I am the last one to tolerate dirty politics. I have seen 10-12 Prime Ministers and worked with them. I want to tell the acting Prime Minister to take care of the border instead of taking care of communal riots. I am not talking about the Prime Minister. BJP can say who is the acting Prime Minister of the country…When you are in the chair, you cannot divide the people,” she stated.

In a pointy criticism of the Nationwide Human Rights Fee (NHRC), the Trinamool Congress supremo questioned the panel’s priorities in view of the latest go to of its members to Murshidabad.

She additionally requested whether or not NHRC members visited BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh and ethnic violence-hit Manipur, which is now below the President’s rule.

“I have unearthed most of the conspiracy, I will expose this before the media…Unfortunately, some media houses played into the hands of the BJP in spreading canards,” she claimed.
