Bay Space bicyclist accused of injuring youngster in hit-and-run

Novato police arrested a person who allegedly injured a toddler along with his bicycle after which fled.

The incident occurred at about 9:50 p.m. Friday close to the nook of Grant Avenue and Second Road. Police Lt. Sophia Winter mentioned the 8-year-old sufferer was taken to a hospital with minor to reasonable accidents.

The following morning, investigators reviewed surveillance digicam footage from a close-by enterprise and recognized the suspect, Winter mentioned. Officers discovered him later close to the nook of Peach and Chase streets.

Anthony Edward Mowry, 22, of Novato was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and possessing drug paraphernalia. He was launched Monday pending additional evaluation by the Marin County District Legal professional’s Workplace.

Mowry couldn’t be reached for remark.
