PORTLAND, Ore. — Olivia Mountrie scored twice to guide the Portland Thorns to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory that formally ended Bay FC’s slim playoff hopes.
Saturday evening’s win boosts the playoff credentials of the Thorns (9-7-7), who transfer as much as fourth within the standings and are actually degree on factors with third-place Gotham FC.
Bay FC’s winless streak stretched to 12 video games because it remained in thirteenth place within the 14-team NWSL.
