Automotive crashes into San Jose martial arts health club

SAN JOSE — Police are investigating after a automobile crashed right into a Brazilian jiujitsu academy Sunday afternoon, authorities stated.

The automobile fled the scene after crashing into Caio Terra Academy, which is situated on the 800 block of Park Avenue, in accordance with the San Jose Police Division.

“Sometimes in life things go your way, and sometimes someone crashes a car through your dream,” stated Caio Terra, the proprietor of the studio, in a social media publish. “Luckily no one was hurt and we can rebuild.”

After hitting the academy, the suspected automobile individually collided with one other automobile, police added. The driving force fled the scene earlier than police arrived, and police are persevering with to research the incidents.

Members of the health club helped clear up Sunday evening and the entrance of the academy was boarded up till it may be fastened, stated Luna Aguirre, an worker. Courses are continuing as scheduled Monday, she added.

“Thanks to everyone who came out to help clean up, and to (SJPD) for doing an amazing job,” Terra added. “The guy drove off but they have his license and a video of him so it’s only a matter of time!”
