Arrest made in East San Jose gun brandishing incident

SAN JOSE – A 31-year-old San Jose man was arrested final week on suspicion of brandishing a firearm throughout a dispute with a girl earlier this 12 months within the metropolis, police mentioned.

“The adult male suspect and the adult female victim were in a verbal altercation when the suspect brandished a firearm, causing the victim to fear for her life,” she mentioned.

Detectives opened an investigation, recognized the suspect and found he was barred from proudly owning weapons, Shih mentioned. Arrest and search warrants have been issued for the person.

On Oct. 9, officers arrested the person in Santa Clara on suspicion of brandishing a firearm and being a prohibited particular person in possession of a firearm, Shih mentioned, including {that a} search of his residence turned up a pair of weapons and ammunition of assorted calibers.
