SAN MATEO — One individual was arrested and one other was hospitalized following a stabbing Wednesday in San Mateo, in response to authorities.

The argument shortly escalated and the suspect stabbed the sufferer with a knife he was holding, police stated.

The officer known as for backup and ordered the suspect to drop the weapon. The suspect — recognized as a 26-year-old San Mateo resident — was in the end arrested and booked into San Mateo County jail on an assault with a lethal weapon cost.

The sufferer was taken to an space hospital with accidents that didn’t seem like life-threatening.

The case stays underneath investigation and authorities are trying to find surveillance footage of the stabbing.

Anybody with info associated to the case can contact the police division at 650-522-7700.
