Antioch man arrested in reference to carjacking, kidnapping

ANTIOCH – Authorities on Wednesday arrested a person on suspicion of carjacking and briefly kidnapping a lady in Antioch.

The incident began round 8:50 a.m., when a automotive crash was reported close to Lone Tree Means and Slatten Ranch Street, in accordance with Antioch police Lt. John Fortner. A person was seen operating from a black sedan into the Slatten Ranch Buying Heart.

Fortner stated the identical man carjacked a silver SUV within the car parking zone close to the Panda Categorical restaurant.

The suspect drove away with the sufferer, a lady, nonetheless contained in the SUV, however she managed to flee close to the Walmart Supercenter on Lone Tree Means, in accordance with Fortner.
