A price range air provider primarily based in Europe is cracking down on passengers who carry outsized baggage with them on flights in violation of the airline’s limits – and will quickly be giving an even bigger bonus to employees who flag non-compliant baggage.
Eire-based Ryanair presently offers employees with about 1.50 euros, or about $1.75, as a reward for figuring out passengers’ luggage that do not conform to the airline’s requirements. The Sunday Occasions reported that the bonus is capped at 80 euros, or about $93.50, citing a former worker’s paycheck.
Ryanair’s charges for outsized baggage rise as much as 75 euros, or $87.66, if they bring about a bag that’s bigger than what they paid for when reserving their journey. The airline does enable passengers to carry one small carry-on bag with them.

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary mentioned Monday on RTE’s “Morning Ireland” that the corporate is “happy to incentivize” employees to establish the outsized baggage and reward them with a charge – which he mentioned may rise because the airline pushes to root out non-compliant baggage.

O’Leary informed the outlet that the airline is “thinking of increasing” the charge in order that they “eliminate” outsized baggage as enforcement will increase and extra passengers run afoul of the rule and alter their habits for future flights.
