After a 20-year run, Izzy’s on the Peninsula — a San Carlos restaurant recognized for its steaks, chops and seafood — will shut down after the final dinner is served Oct. 4.
“We’re grateful for every memory and invite you to join us for one last meal before we close this chapter,” the DuVall Household Restaurant Group introduced on the web site. “Our flagship restaurant in San Francisco will continue welcoming you for many years to come.”
That Marina district flagship was based in 1987 by famous Bay Space restaurateur Sam DuVall. Each eating places are named after saloon keeper Isadore “Izzy” Gomez, a colourful determine throughout San Francisco’s Barbary Coast days, and are run by the DuVall second era.
Among the many menu highlights are “The Gomez,” a primary rib dinner with Izzy’s potatoes and creamed spinach; the Duroc Tomahawk Pork Chop; Crispy Pores and skin Salmon; and for dessert, Glazed Crullers made to order.
