A number of earthquakes with epicenters beneath the ocean floor rattled the Northern California shoreline early Monday.

The quakes occurred off the shore of Humboldt County and had been all positioned roughly 24 to 29 miles southwest of the Northern California metropolis of Ferndale, in response to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The usG.S. reported that the primary quake occurred about 1:17 a.m. Extra quakes occurred over the following few hours.

The most important of the swarm of quakes had a 4.6 magnitude, in response to the Geological Survey. This was the primary of the shakers on Monday.

The strongest quake was felt in a number of communities, together with Eureka, Ferndale, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Scotia, Garberville, Petrolia, Piercy and Alderpoint, in response to a put up on the united statesG.S. web site.

No accidents or harm had been instantly reported on account of the quakes.

The quakes occurred on or subsequent to the San Andreas Fault, the U.S. Geological Survey webpage reveals.
