A number of earthquakes with epicenters beneath the ocean floor rattled the Northern California shoreline early Monday.
The quakes occurred off the shore of Humboldt County and had been all positioned roughly 24 to 29 miles southwest of the Northern California metropolis of Ferndale, in response to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The usG.S. reported that the primary quake occurred about 1:17 a.m. Extra quakes occurred over the following few hours.
