Thrill seekers will face nature’s wrath after they board a brand new coaster that can shoot them out of the highest of artificial mountain with a fiery pyrotechnic blast on a record-setting trip debuting at an amusement park vying for the coveted title of Coaster Capital of the World.

The brand new AlpenFury curler coaster will open on Saturday, July 12 on the Canada’s Wonderland amusement park simply north of Toronto.

AlpenFury would be the park’s 18h coaster — pulling Canada’s Wonderland into third place behind Poland’s Energylandia for essentially the most coasters in a single park. Six Flags Magic Mountain stays the Coaster Capital of the World with 20 coasters and one other on the way in which.

The backstory for the AlpenFury coaster harks again to the AlpenFest themed land that was as soon as a part of Canada’s Wonderland.

Riders aboard the Premier Sky Rocket coaster will board a glossy, trendy sled in an alpine village and journey alongside closed climbing trails to the mountain’s core the place the mixture of fireside and ice generate a strong mystical pressure, in accordance with the trip’s backstory.

AlpenFury riders ready within the coaster’s queue will discover themselves thrust right into a jubilant and colourful village pageant celebrating Surprise Mountain’s legendary union of ice and fireplace.

The brand new coaster coming to Canada’s Wonderland guarantees to be a strong draw for trip lovers in search of the most recent and biggest thrills.

AlpenFury will boast 9 inversions — greater than any coaster in North America and essentially the most on the planet for a launch coaster.

The twin-launch coaster will ship riders hurtling towards a cavern within the base of Surprise Mountain earlier than transitioning to a vertical stretch of monitor that can ship them rocketing towards the mountain’s peak at 72 mph.

Pyrotechnics will blast from the highest of Surprise Mountain as every coaster prepare exits close to the summit and climbs right into a 164-tall twisting Prime Hat ingredient.

The lineup of head-spinning inversions on AlpenFury will embrace a trio of one-of-a-kind parts that sound just like the menu specials at a sushi restaurant.

The inverted Prime Hat ingredient with a 270-degree flip and a heartline roll has been dubbed the Hearth Serpent Roll.

The Ice Winder Roll will add a twist to the traditional double barrel roll with a banking 45-degree flip and downdrop end.

The treble clef-shaped Skyflyer Loop will incorporate an ascending helix with a zero-G stall and an inverting, descending roll.

Canada’s Wonderland crews have been busy modifying Surprise Mountain — the park’s iconic landmark since opening day in 1981 — with new foundations, structural metal and rockwork to accommodate AlpenFury’s path that can tunnel by means of the man-made peak.

AlpenFury will work together with three different coasters that already name Surprise Mountain residence — the 1981 Thunder Run, 1991 Vortex and 2014 Surprise Mountain’s Guardian.

The brand new coaster’s 3,280-foot-long monitor will span the park and encounter a sequence of head-chopper and near-miss moments.

The custom-designed Sky Rocket has grow to be a workhorse for Baltimore-based Premier Rides for the reason that first model of the coaster was put in at Pennsylvania’s Kennywood in 2010.

Nearer to residence, Premier Sky Rocket coasters may be discovered at Six Flags Magic Mountain (Full Throttle), SeaWorld San Diego (Electrical Eel) and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (Superman Final Flight).

Canada’s Wonderland will provide early trip occasions on AlpenFury for season passholders on July 13, 19, 20 and 27 and Aug. 1, 8, 24 and 31.
