Native Man who was First Responder and Served Space as Hearth Chief, Allen “Caveman” William Carder, Passes

Allen “Caveman” William Carder, Jr., 74, of Clarksburg, handed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 in Bridgeport.  He was born on December 27, 1950 in Salem, WV, a son of the late Allen William Carder, Sr. and Inez Harvey Carder.

 

He’s survived by his spouse of 56 years, Barbara Dennison Carder, whom he married on August 18, 1969.  He’s additionally survived by two daughters, Becky Wick of Shinnston and Amy Tate of Fairmont; 4 grandchildren, Amber Nelson, Walter “Jamie” Tate, III, John Allen Wick and Sara Tate; two nice grandchildren, Hudson Nelson and Rashelle Tate; one sister, Mary Carder of OH; and his beloved canine “Penny.”

 

Along with his mother and father, he was additionally preceded in dying by one son, Gary Wayne Carder.

 

Allen, lovingly often called “Caveman,” handed away surrounded by his household. A hardworking man, he spent a few years as a truck driver, proudly working for Gary Amos Trucking.  Caveman’s passions carried him far past the highway. He liked the joys of grime observe racing and NASCAR, and he cherished each probability to go 4-wheeling along with his grandchildren. He additionally served his group as the previous Chief of the Reynoldsville Hearth Division, a job that spoke to his dedication and sense of duty.  Although quiet by nature, Caveman had a playful aspect that shone by means of along with his kids and grandchildren. He liked his household deeply and lived his life dedicated to his spouse, who was the middle of his world. Pals will keep in mind him as a great man with a form coronary heart, one who loved sitting again, laughing, and reminiscing about days passed by.  Caveman leaves behind a legacy of affection, loyalty, and treasured recollections that can proceed to encourage all who knew him.
