Pedestrian killed in Fremont crash ID’d as 76-year-old man

FREMONT – Police on Wednesday recognized the sufferer of a deadly collision earlier this week in Fremont as a 76-year-old man.

The crash occurred shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday on Paseo Padre Parkway, south of Capitol Avenue.

The Fremont Police Division stated the person was trying to cross midblock whereas pushing a purchasing cart containing private belongings. He was close to the raised middle median when he was hit by one automobile touring northbound after which by a second.

Paramedics pronounced the person useless on the scene. The loss of life marked the town’s fifth visitors fatality of the yr.

Whereas police didn’t launch the person’s title, they did establish him as a resident of Fremont.

The motive force of the primary car left the scene however returned a short while later, police stated.

The reason for the collision is beneath investigation, however police stated alcohol and drug impairment doesn’t seem like an element. The motive force of the primary automobile is cooperating with the investigation.
