Two injured as wildfire in San Benito County swells to 330 acres

PANOCHE, Calif. – A quick-moving wildfire swelled to 330 acres Thursday night time in San Benito County, injuring two folks and threatening a construction, in keeping with Cal Hearth.

The blaze, dubbed the Panoche Hearth, broke out round 4:10 p.m. on Panoche Street, close to Payne Creek Street and west of the unincorporated group of Panoche.

As of 8:10 p.m., the hearth had burned 330 acres and was 0% contained, Cal Hearth stated in an incident replace.

“Firefighters are actively battling a rapidly moving vegetation fire in the Panoche Valley region of southeastern San Benito County,” Cal Hearth stated. “The fire is burning in light, flashy fuels and mixed brush, contributing to fast-moving fire behavior.”
