A British Columbia man suffered minor accidents after keeping off a cougar assault by punching the animal within the face within the province’s northern Inside.

The province’s Conservation Officer Service says in a social media put up that the assault occurred on Saturday round 11 a.m. close to Smithers, B.C., some 1,000 kilometres northwest of Vancouver.

The service says the person was working close to Lake Kathlyn when the animal approached and swiped his higher physique.

The person advised officers that he punched the cougar within the face and the animal then disengaged.
