Bay Space and California every lose hundreds of jobs in June

Employers slashed a internet whole of 6,800 jobs within the Bay Space, with all three of the area’s main metro areas enduring decreased employment ranges in June, a state labor company reported.

The Bay Space’s job losses in June mark two straight months of employment declines within the area, in response to info posted by the state Employment Improvement Division.

California misplaced 6,100 jobs final month, the state EDD reported.

The South Bay misplaced 3,300 jobs in June, whereas East Bay employers slashed 2,900 positions, and the San Francisco-San Mateo space misplaced 700 jobs, in response to the EDD report. All numbers have been adjusted for seasonal volatility.

The statewide unemployment charge worsened to five.4% in June, a rise from the 5.3% jobless charge for California in Could, the state company report confirmed.
