The lawyer for a Quebec man charged with killing three pedestrians along with his truck has informed a jury the deaths have been an accident, not a criminal offense.

Steeve Gagnon’s lawyer mentioned throughout remaining arguments that his shopper had reached all the way down to retrieve an e-cigarette pod and by chance drove off the highway in a second of inattention.

Gagnon is charged with three counts of first-degree homicide and the tried homicide of 9 different folks on March 13, 2023, in Amqui, Que., northeast of Quebec Metropolis.
