Stanford set an NCAA softball attendance document on Saturday, drawing a crowd of 13,207 to its soccer stadium on a sun-splashed afternoon for the ultimate recreation of The Massive Swing collection in opposition to rival Cal.
The Bears spoiled the festive day, successful 10-8 to keep away from being swept within the three-game collection.
The attendance quantity broke the earlier document of 12,566, set on the primary day of the 2024 Girls’s School World Sequence final Might. The common season document was 8,930, which Oklahoma set for a recreation in opposition to Texas in March 2023.

The chance for Stanford to interrupt the attendance mark was one of many advantages of enjoying dwelling video games at Stanford Stadium this season as this system’s softball facility undergoes a $50 million renovation.
