CFB recruiting: Pittsburg star Jamar Searcy commits to Wake Forest

Pittsburg working again Jamar Searcy has dedicated to Wake Forest, he introduced on X on Monday evening. 

Searcy’s announcement comes simply over a month after he decommitted from Washington State, following head coach Jake Dickert’s departure from the Pac-12 college to Wake Forrest. 

The 5-foot-8 working again verbally dedicated to Washington State in June and signed his letter of intent on Dec. 4. However after Dickert crammed the top teaching emptiness at Wake Forest on Dec. 18, Searcy introduced he would reopen his recruitment a day after. 

Searcy obtained provides from SMU and New Mexico earlier this month however determined to observe Dickert to Wake Forest. 

“I wanna thank (Dickert) and (running back coach Effrem Reed) and the rest of the staff for believing in me and trusting me to perform my god gifted talents for the next 3 to 4 years,” Searcy wrote within the X submit. 

Searcy was a standout as a working again and a security for Pittsburg this season. He completed the yr speeding for 1,668 yards and 22 touchdowns to assist the Pirates win a NorCal title and attain the Division I-AA state title sport. He additionally totaled 49 tackles and two interceptions. 

Searcy was an all-BANG first-team choice as an athlete and obtained all-league first-team honors. 

In Pittsburg’s 28-26 loss to Lincoln-San Diego within the state title sport, Searcy rushed for 290 yards and 4 touchdowns.
