Pedestrian hit and killed by driver Monday in Hayward

Pedestrian hit and killed by driver Monday in Hayward

HAYWARD – A driver hit and killed a pedestrian Monday evening in Hayward, police stated.

The pedestrian – recognized by police as a 68-year-old Hayward man – was taken to an space hospital, the place he died of his accidents. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will launch the person’s identification after it’s confirmed and his subsequent of kin is notified.

The loss of life marks town’s eighth visitors fatality of the 12 months.

The driving force – recognized by police as a 55-year-old Hayward man – was discovered behind the wheel of the identical automobile a brief distance from the scene. He offered a press release in regards to the crash and was launched, pending additional investigation, police stated.

An investigation is underway into the crash and police are working to find out if alcohol or medication performed a task.
