Pedestrian dies in Berkeley visitors collision

BERKELEY — A 78-year-old man died Thursday night time after he was struck by a automobile whereas strolling throughout a road in North Berkeley, authorities stated.

The title of the person, a Berkeley resident, was not instantly launched pending notification of his household.

The collision occurred about 6:17 p.m. Thursday on the intersection of Rose and Josephine streets, police stated.

Police stated the person was crossing Rose Road and was struck by a automobile pushed by a 79-year-old Berkeley girl girl that was touring eastbound on Rose Road.

The person died later at a hospital.

The motive force remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police stated

The person’s demise is the fourth visitors fatality of the 12 months investigated by police.
