Homicide arrest after man is run over at Bay Space shopping center

A pedestrian died after being run over “multiple times” within the parking zone of a Fairfield shopping center, police stated.

The alleged driver was arrested on suspicion of homicide.

The incident occurred round 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, within the parking zone on the north facet of Solano City Middle, a police report stated.

Witnesses reportedly informed police {that a} white Dodge pickup truck struck a person, stopped, then got here again and struck the sufferer at the least as soon as extra earlier than driving away.

One witness adopted the truck whereas calling 911, and cops pulled over the suspect within the 800 block of East Tabor Avenue, about 2½ miles from the mall.

The truck’s driver, a 25-year-old Fairfield man, was “known to officers due to previous mental health calls,” the police stated. He was taken into custody with out incident, they stated.

The sufferer’s identify has not been launched.
