Tanker truck crash fuels East Bay visitors nightmare

MOUNTAIN HOUSE – A tanker truck carrying a mixture of gasoline and ethanol jackknifed Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 205 close to Mountain Home, leading to a full closure of the freeway and a serious backup on Interstate 580, in line with authorities.

The incident occurred round 1 p.m. on westbound I-205 simply west of the Alameda County line, mentioned California Freeway Patrol Officer Tyler Hahn. The truck was pulling two tanks, one in every of which overturned and leaked about three gallons of the flammable liquid.
