SANTA CRUZ – Transfer over Otter 841, a brand new marauding sea mammal is as much as mischief.

The incident recalled the antics of Otter 841, who was photographed stealing a surfboard and even driving a wave in summer season 2023. A spokesperson for the hearth division stated the otter concerned in Wednesday’s incident was not recognized as 841.

Round 5:06 p.m., emergency responders had been dispatched for a report of a surfer who was presumably bitten by an otter.

Lifeguards arrived to discover a group of surfers surrounding one other surfer within the water, in addition to “an otter who appeared to be sitting on the victim’s board,” the hearth division stated.

The surfer was pulled from the water and evaluated by medical personnel. The fireplace division stated she was not injured or bitten by the otter.

Lifeguards retrieved and returned the board to the surfer.

“Once the equipment was given back to the owner, units were cleared from the incident,” the hearth division stated.

The town plans to inform the California Division of Fish and Wildlife in regards to the incident.

Test again for updates.
