Palo Alto police examine deadly crash close to Stanford College

PALO ALTO — Police are investigating a deadly car crash that claimed one sufferer on a avenue in Palo Alto close to Stanford College.

The deadly crash concerned a single pickup truck that was touring northbound on Alma Avenue close to the College Avenue overcrossing, Palo Alto police stated.

Palo Alto police obtained a report at 11:57 p.m. Saturday relating to a serious harm collision at that location, which is a couple of blocks from Stanford College.

“Officers and personnel from the Palo Alto Fire Department responded immediately and located a man in his 40s unconscious in a pickup truck,” Palo Alto police acknowledged in a ready launch.

Emergency crews extricated the person from the pickup truck and transported him to a neighborhood hospital. On the hospital, the person succumbed to his accidents and was pronounced deceased.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that the pickup truck was traveling northbound on Alma Street when the truck left the roadway and collided with the elevated median,” Palo Alto police acknowledged.

Police didn’t instantly disclose the sufferer’s identification. Police imagine no different car was concerned within the crash.

“At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor,” police acknowledged. “The cause of the collision remains under investigation.”
