James (Jim) Alan McClain, 78, of Weston, handed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, within the United Hospital Middle.
Jim was born at residence in Stonewood, WV, on October 15, 1946, to the late Rexil Kenneth and Marguerite Orndorff McClain.
He shall be dearly missed by his spouse, Sharon Stemen McClain, whom he married on August 10, 1968, and by his 9 kids: Jason McClain (Jessica), Jonathan McClain, Susanna Berg (Scott), Joseph McClain (Lisa), Sarah Knight, Joshua McClain, Sherah Kraan (Joshua), Saron Wilt, and Joel McClain.
He shall be lovingly remembered by his 18 grandchildren: Caitlin, Kelsey, and Cara McClain; Emma, Mary, and David Berg; Josiah, Abigail, and Kailey McClain; Elijah Knight (Lexi) and Bethany Knight; Joanna, Sarenna, Lincoln, Garrett, Keerath, and Margolise Kraan; and Elise Wilt.
He leaves behind his beloved siblings, Larry McClain and Carol Glowski (Dan); brothers-in-law, Dan Stemen (Terri) and Dave Stemen (Jennifer); and plenty of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with his mother and father, Jim was preceded in dying by his two toddler kids, Joanna and Jeremy McClain, and by his sister, Brenda McClain Drowns. Jim graduated from Roosevelt-Wilson Excessive College and Grand Rapids Baptist Bible Faculty and Seminary. He was a Pastor, most lately at Jones Run Impartial Church in Lumberport and a Trainer, Coach, and Principal at Emmanuel Christian College. He labored diligently to move impactful laws which protects Christian and residential schooling in West Virginia. He additionally labored in gross sales and promoting at Your Bulletin Board. He deeply appreciated nature, music, and storytelling. He beloved to prepare dinner and share hearty meals and laughter along with his household. And he served the Lord faithfully, preaching the Gospel with joyful fervor in all places he went.
Household and associates could name on the Amos Carvelli Funeral Residence at 201 Edison Avenue, Nutter Fort, on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., the place a service shall be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Madaus officiating. Interment will observe within the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with Pastor Sherman Goodwin.
