Ryane Clowe unexpectedly leaves entrance workplace job with San Jose Sharks

SAN JOSE – Ryane Clowe introduced Sunday that he has resigned from his job because the San Jose Sharks’ assistant normal supervisor after only one season.

Clowe , 42, didn’t give a selected cause for stepping down, however stated in an announcement launched by the Sharks that the choice was “in the best interest” of his household.

“Recently, I had to make the extremely difficult decision to resign from my position as assistant general manager with the San Jose Sharks,” Clowe’s assertion stated. “I actually liked being again in San Jose and dealing with Mike Grier and his whole group, however at this level, this resolution is in one of the best curiosity of my household.

“The franchise has an exciting future ahead and is set up to be successful for a long period of time, and I am grateful to Mike and (team president) Jonathan Becher for giving me the opportunity to return to San Jose.”

Clowe’s resolution comes simply over a yr after he left his job as a senior advisor to New York Rangers normal supervisor Chris Drury to hitch Grier, his former teammate in San Jose, within the Sharks’ entrance workplace.

Clowe’s duties included working with the Sharks’ scouting and improvement staffs, Grier and fellow Sharks assistant normal managers Tom Holy and Joe Will, serving to to supervise all facets of the Sharks’ hockey operations division.

“I was part of a great organization, a great team that (just finished) making a run in the playoffs,” Clowe stated in July 2024. “Once I spoke with Mike, and (we) went through it, it was an opportunity that I couldn’t turn down.”
