9 arrested in San Jose gang-motivated crime sting

SAN JOSE – A big-scale operation focusing on gang-motivated crimes in San Jose culminated within the arrest of 5 males and 4 teenage boys, authorities introduced Wednesday.

The crimes, a lot of which have been associated to vandalism and firearms, occurred between September and November, in keeping with San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih.

Shih mentioned detectives recognized seven main suspects accountable for the crimes: a 20-year-old man, two 18-year-old males, a 17-year-old boy, two 16-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy, all of San Jose.

On Nov. 19, detectives arrested the 20-year-old man and the 2 16-year-old boys in San Jose.

Detectives searched the 20-year-old man’s dwelling and “located a loaded firearm, large quantities of narcotics and two homemade improvised explosives,” Shih mentioned.

Throughout a search of 1 16-year-old boy’s dwelling, detectives arrested a 27-year-old San Jose man on suspicion of possessing unlawful narcotics on the market, in keeping with Shih.

On Dec. 3, detectives arrested the 2 18-year-old males, the 17-year-old boy and the 14-year-old boy in San Jose.

Shih mentioned detectives additionally discovered a stolen firearm on the dwelling of every boy.

Throughout a search of 1 18-year-old man’s dwelling, detectives arrested a 33-year-old San Jose man for an excellent warrant, Shih mentioned, including that he was on parole on the time.

Detectives booked the lads into Santa Clara County jail and the boys into juvenile corridor.
