The Division of Agriculture introduced Friday a recall of almost one ton of vacation kielbasa after a client reportedly discovered steel within the product.
Roughly 1,930 kilos of ready-to-eat sausage produced by Olympia Provisions could also be “contaminated with foreign material, specifically metal,” the company’s Meals Security and Inspection Service (FSIS) mentioned.
The problem was recognized after the Portland-based firm notified FSIS of the patron criticism. No confirmed accidents associated to the recalled merchandise have been reported.

The product was manufactured on Oct. 14 and shipped to retail areas in California, Oregon and Washington. It was additionally offered nationwide via the corporate’s direct-to-consumer on-line gross sales.
The recalled merchandise is packaged in 16-ounce vacuum-sealed plastic casings labeled “OLYMPIA PROVISIONS UNCURED HOLIDAY KIELBASA,” with a “Best If Used By” date of Feb. 19, 2026. The product topic to recall bears institution quantity “EST. 39928” contained in the USDA mark of inspection.

FSIS suggested customers who imagine they might have bought the affected product to verify their fridges or freezers.
“Consumers who have purchased this product are urged not to consume it,” the company mentioned. “The product should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.”
