All of them have Takata SCI-D driver frontal airbag inflators, in line with the recall. 

FORD RECALLS PICKUP TRUCKS OVER POTENTIAL REARVIEW CAMERA ISSUE

Volkswagen stated in an announcement to FOX Enterprise it recalled the automobiles “out of an abundance of caution.”

“The Takata SDI-D driver frontal airbag inflators installed in the recalled vehicles currently do not pose an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety to drivers of affected vehicles,” the automaker stated. “Based on its prior conversations with NHTSA, Volkswagen understands that the Agency is concerned that after additional time, the airbag inflator may not perform properly in the event of a crash.”

The airbag inflator situation has not led to any recognized accidents, accidents or fatalities, the automaker stated.
