The Republican-led Home Administration Committee has discovered proof that unlawful donations from China, Russia, Iran and Venezuela might have been laundered to Democratic campaigns by way of the celebration’s on-line fundraising juggernaut ActBlue.

“Our investigation has indicated that these [foreign] actors may be exploiting existing U.S. [sic] donors by making straw donations without the individuals’ or your platform’s knowledge,” Steil wrote.

ActBlue has already admitted to the committee that it doesn’t require donors to offer the cardboard verification code (“CVV”) related to credit score or debit playing cards when making an internet contribution.
Steil mentioned his committee has petitioned the Federal Election Fee (FEC) to “initiate an emergency rulemaking process” to redress this.
