Airways issued journey charge waivers for passengers after a lethal midair collision close to Washington, D.C., briefly halted operations at Ronald Reagan Washington Nationwide Airport.

United CEO Scott Kirby issued an announcement Thursday concerning the collision, saying the airline is in contact with its “colleagues at American Airlines and will continue to offer any assistance and support they may need.”
