The Trump group has cooked up one more racist government order for Expensive Chief to signal, this time requiring U.S. truck drivers to talk English.

“President Trump believes that English is a non-negotiable safety requirement for professional drivers, as they should be able to read and understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officers, border patrol, agricultural checkpoints, and cargo weight-limit station personnel, and provide and receive feedback and directions in English,” the manager order says.

“We’re gonna ensure that our truckers, who are the backbone of our policy, are all able to speak English,” White Home press secretary Karoline Leavitt mentioned throughout a press convention Monday.

This isn’t the primary time Trump signed an order demanding individuals in the US to talk English. In March, he signed one other order that designates English because the official language of the US.

“To promote unity, cultivate a shared American culture for all citizens, ensure consistency in government operations, and create a pathway to civic engagement, it is in America’s best interest for the Federal Government to designate one — and only one — official language,” the order mentioned.

However this new order is immediately aimed on the trucking business, which supported Trump by massive margins within the 2024 election. In fact, whether or not or not drivers converse English ought to be the least of the trucking business’s worries now.

Consultants are warning that, as a result of Trump’s idiotic tariffs, armageddon is coming for the trucking business as firms are pausing orders for imported items.

Apollo World Administration, a U.S. asset administration firm, launched a forecast on Monday predicting that, by mid to late Could, trucking demand will “come to a halt,” leading to mass layoffs by late Could or early June.

Already, ports are seeing fewer cargo ships arrive with items, which truckers would then be chargeable for distributing to retail shops and warehouses throughout the nation.

In comparison with final 12 months, Port of Los Angeles import volumes are projected to say no 11% this week and a whopping 31% subsequent week. And a serious port in Seattle, Washington, had no cargo ships docked on Friday.

“One of my fears is that the local trucking community is going to be the first to be impacted by these changes,” Jeff Bellerud, chief working officer on the Northwest Seaport Alliance that oversees the operations on the port, informed the Seattle Occasions.

And Craig Fuller, CEO of FreightWaves, which covers the freight and logistics business, mentioned that extra ache is coming for truckers.

“Trucking volumes have collapsed to close pre-COVID ranges. Sadly, for truckers, the worst is but to come back. With imports deteriorating, volumes are anticipated to fall by one other 3-4% over the following month,” he wrote on X.

Even the truck manufacturing business is impacted, with Mack Vehicles saying earlier this month that it’ll lay off between 250 and 350 employees because of Trump’s tariffs.

However, hey, no less than the few remaining trucking employees will converse English. Proper, Trump?
